Hebrew - Pronominal suffixes with prepositions

Pronominal suffixes are shortened forms of personal pronouns, and may be attached directly to prepositions, particles, nouns or verbs. There are a number of standard patterns to the use with prepositions:

With be and le

Person Singular Plural
3M* him-ôw -âhem* them
3F* her-âh -âhen* them
2M* youekhâ -âkhem* you
2F* you-âkh -âkhen* you
1* me-îy -â* us

eg bîy, bekhâ, lânû etc.

With ke

Person Singular Plural
3Mlike himkâmôwhû kâhemlike them
3Flike herkâmôâh kâhenlike them
2Mlike youkâmôwkhâ kâkhemlike you
1like mekâmôwnû kâmôwnûlike us

Where the preposition takes daghesh forte

With ’êth
With the preposition ’êth (with - so not the particle ’êth), a daghesh forte is inserted in the consonant before the suffix:

Person Singular Plural
3Mwith him’ôthôw, ’ittôw’ôthôwâm, ’ittâmwith them
3Fwith her’ittâh
2Mwith you’ôthekhâ, ’ittekhâ ’êthekhem, ’ittekhemwith you
2Fwith you’ôthâkh, ’ittâkh
1with me’ôthîy, ’ittîy ’ôthânû, ’ittâwith us

With lebad
lebad means alone, by himself/itself, and takes daghesh forte in the d with all suffixes:

Person Singular Plural
3Mby himselflebaddû lebaddâmby themselves
3Fby herselflebaddâh lebaddehenby themselves
2Mlike youlebaddekhâ lebaddekhemlike you
1by myselflebaddîy

With ‘im
‘im is another variation on with, and takes daghesh forte in the m with all suffixes:

Person Singular Plural
3Mwith him‘immôw ‘immâm, ‘immâhemwith them
3Fwith her‘immâh
2Mwith you‘immekhâ, ‘immâkh ‘immâkhemwith you
1with me‘immîy, ‘immâdîy ‘immâwith us

With min

min (from) is irregular. In some cases it is duplicated (so 1s is literally 'from from me'), in some partially duplicated (2ms and 2fs) and in some not at all (eg 2mp). The n is normally assimilated, leading to other changes in the verbs.
Person Singular Plural
3Mfrom himmimmennû mêhemfrom them
3Ffrom hermimmennâh mêhenfrom them
2Mfrom youmimmekhâ mikhemfrom you
2Ffrom youmimmêkh mikhenfrom you
1from memimmennîy mimmennûfrom us

Where the preposition takes the same suffixes as plural nouns

lîphenêy - 'to the face of' is taken to mean 'before', 'in front of'.

3Fbefore herlephâneyâh
2Mbefore youlephâneykhâ lîphenêykhembefore you
